Red Kent’s egg beater and batter mixer

A rare red colourway ‘Kents Improved Monroes Patent Egg Beater and Batter Mixer’. Made of white ironstone pottery and originally fitted with a metal rotary beater mechanism, they are usually decorated with purple transfer, this example however is one of the scarce red/burgundy variations.

12.1cm foot diameter
13.5cm approx belly diameter 
Condition:
There is a chip inside the top of the rim, along with couple of tiny firing marks. There is also a small fine hairline on the rim near the flat edge.
There is a large chip on the edge of the foot.
