Large stoneware Baker’s Stores crock - Price Bristol earthenware pot
A large antique kitchen storage crock, made of two tone brown slip glazed stoneware with a fitted lid, and decorated with bold black stencil transfer letters to the face - 'Baker's Stores'.
Produced by Price of Bristol, with their impressed oval maker's mark on the side, the pot is moulded with a flaring rim for the fitted lid, along with shallow handles on each side. An attractive example of a rare storage pot.

Condition:
The lid has been in two at some point and glued back together (not restored), with the damage also resulting in a chip on the underside of the edge of the finial/knob. The pot still displays very nicely though and this does not overly detract and could be professionally restored if desired.
